Your Prescription with Herbly

Important: What you need to know after receiving a prescription - safe use, refills, limits, and ongoing care.

Responsible Prescribing

We prescribe responsible quantities and follow appropriate repeat schedules to support safe, continuous care without overuse or misuse.

  • Refills - Repeats are timed and limited to ensure your treatment continues safely and consistently. This also allows your doctor to check in and adjust your plan if needed.
  • Prevent overuse or misuse - By following these safeguards, we reduce the risk of side effects, dependency, or inappropriate use.
  • Support continuous care - Our approach ensures you always have safe access to your medicine while maintaining clinical oversight of your health.
We’ll review your response over time and adjust only when it’s safe and clinically appropriate.

Targeted Treatment

Each script is for a specific product selected for your clinical needs. We don’t supply multiple products to 'test' - just as doctors don’t with specialised medicines like opioids or antihypertensives. Your treatment is targeted and precise.

Follow Your Practitioner’s Recommendations

It is very important that you follow the dosage and treatment plan prescribed by your practitioner. Your treatment has been tailored specifically for your health needs, and taking your medication exactly as directed will help you achieve the best possible results.

  • Do not adjust your dosage without consulting your practitioner.
  • Report any side effects or concerns so your practitioner can provide guidance.
  • Consistency is key, skipping or altering doses may reduce effectiveness.

👉 Your practitioner is here to support you, so always reach out if you have questions about your medication or treatment plan.

Reviewing Your Health

  • We thoroughly check your current medications and medical history.
  • We may review your My Health Record to avoid potential interactions.
  • We’ll coordinate any dose adjustments needed for other medications.

How Do I Get My Refill?

When it’s time for your refill, the process is designed to be simple and safe:

  • Check your account - Log in to see when your medication is eligible for a refill.
  • Order online - Place your refill order directly through your Herbly account.
  • Follow repeat schedules - Refills are only available once your repeat is due, in line with your prescription and monthly limits.
  • Delivery to your door - Your medication will be shipped straight to you, so you don’t need to visit the clinic again.

👉 If you’re unsure whether you’re due for a refill, or if you have questions about your prescription, you can always contact the Herbly team for guidance.

Monthly Limits

Important: Monthly limits apply across all clinic providers. Your allowance resets on the 1st of each month.

Medicinal cannabis is subject to monthly prescribing limits designed to keep treatments safe.

Safety, Risks & Long-Term Effects

Medicinal cannabis can help some patients, but it may cause side effects (e.g., drowsiness, dizziness, nausea). Delayed or unknown risks are possible, and the long-term effects are not fully known.

If you experience unexpected symptoms or side effects, contact your Herbly clinician or seek urgent care if serious.
