Making healthcare fit into a working day

After discussing her ongoing health concerns with her regular GP, Emma wanted to learn more about the healthcare options that might be available to her.

Care that worked around her day

Finding time for appointments was difficult. Taking a full day away from the classroom was rarely practical, and travelling to and from a clinic added even more time.

Emma completed Herbly’s online intake and arranged her initial nurse consultation during her lunch break. The nurse took the time to ask about her current concerns, medical history, existing medicines, previous treatments and what she hoped to discuss with the doctor.

Her doctor then reviewed her individual circumstances and discussed the available options during a separate telehealth consultation.

For Emma, the biggest difference was convenience. She could attend both appointments privately without taking an entire day away from work or travelling across the city.

Accessing care from regional Queensland

After speaking with his regular GP about his health concerns, Michael began looking for a telehealth service that would not require hours of travel to a major city.

Professional care without the long drive

For Michael, attending an appointment often involved much more than finding an available time. Living outside a major regional centre could mean several hours of driving and losing most of a working day.

The Herbly team explained how the consultation process worked and helped him prepare for his appointments. Michael spoke with a nurse from the privacy of his home, where they discussed his health history, current medicines, previous treatments and the concerns he wanted to raise with the doctor.

He later attended an online consultation with a doctor, who considered his individual circumstances and explained the appropriate next steps.

Michael appreciated being able to access a nurse and doctor without leaving his community. When he had questions about the process, the Herbly team responded promptly and kept everything clear and straightforward.

Priya’s journey

A straightforward process that fitted around family life

Between work deadlines, family responsibilities and school pick-ups, Priya had limited time available for appointments.

Before getting started, she wanted to understand the consultation process, appointment costs and what information she would need to provide. A member of the Herbly team answered her initial questions and explained what to expect without placing any pressure on her to proceed.

Priya arranged her nurse consultation during a quiet part of her working day. The nurse listened carefully and asked about her medical history, current medicines, previous treatment experiences and the concerns she wanted to raise with the doctor.

Her doctor consultation was booked separately at a time that worked around her other commitments. For Priya, telehealth made seeking professional advice feel more manageable. She could attend privately, ask questions and receive clear information about the next steps without reorganising her entire week.

Daniel’s journey

Care organised around a changing roster

Daniel’s working hours changed from week to week. Traditional clinic appointments were difficult to organise, particularly when he was working away from home or starting early in the morning.

After discussing his broader healthcare needs with his regular GP, Daniel looked for a service that could work alongside his existing care while offering greater appointment flexibility.

The Herbly team helped Daniel understand the process and arrange his consultations around his roster. During his nurse appointment, they discussed his health history, current medicines, previous treatments, working conditions and other relevant circumstances.

Daniel then spoke with a doctor on one of his days off. The doctor reviewed his situation independently, answered his questions and explained which next steps may be appropriate. Daniel valued the fact that the consultation was not rushed and that no particular outcome was promised.

What happens after I complete the online eligibility check?

After completing the online check, you’ll be invited to book a conversation with one of our nurses. The nurse will review your information, discuss your symptoms and medical history, and help prepare you for a doctor consultation.

You’ll then speak with a registered Australian doctor who will assess your circumstances and discuss suitable treatment options. If treatment is clinically appropriate and prescribed, you’ll be able to order online and arrange express delivery to your home.
